Thomas R. Clifton

I am a sedimentologist through genetics and training.

My training includes a B.A. in Geologic Sciences from UC Santa Barbara and a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from UC Santa Cruz. I spent five years working as a hydrogeologist at Dames and Moore.

I understand depositional processes in near-shore marine and fluivial settings. I understand fluid flow through alluvial aquifers.

My Ph.D dissertation describes the depositional processes that occur in antidune flow.

I also know a little about web design and hosting, and neighborhood organizations in San Jose.

My company ES Designs hosts websites for non-profit and educational institutions around the world. We have also set up websites for faculty and staff at De Anza College, the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, and Mission College in the Santa Clara Valley.

I have served on the boards of two neighborhood associations, as president of the University Neighborhoods Coalition and chairman of the United Neigbhorhoods of Santa Clara County.

After relocating to the Monterey Peninsula, I am a Physical Sciences Lab Manager at Monterey Peninsula College and a Docent at Point Lobos State Reserve.
